| - Among the worst customer service I've ever received or observed. In May 2015 I bought a brand new set of tires for my 2012 Prius at a different Big O for $490, and today was in need of a rotation. I called Johnny, the store manager and he said that tire rotations are included for the life of the tires. I headed down to the shop and they got the rotation done in about a hour and a half. They gave me my key and I went outside and started the car, to find they hadn't reset the computer. The "maintenance required" indicator still took up my whole display. I went back inside and informed Johnny and he sent a technician out to reset it. I stood by the car in the sun (106 degrees today) assuming it would be a matter of seconds before I'd be on my way. 40 minutes and three technicians later and they still hadn't gotten it reset. The last technician told me that he was doing it right and that something must be wrong with the car, then walked away, frustrated. Baffled, I went back inside, by this time exhausted and dripping sweat from standing in the sun trying to assist the technicians, and told Johnny we hadn't made any progress. He told me, THE CUSTOMER, that I should take it somewhere else because he couldn't have me "taking up any more of his technicians' time when he had paying customers to take care of". I guess buying a new set of tires for nearly $500 doesn't make me a paying customer?? I asked, "you're telling me I need to go to a second location to finish up the service that you were supposed to complete?" He said yes that's what he was saying and reiterated he has customers to attend to. As I walked out of the store, livid with fury, even the other customers in the waiting area looked at me and then to the manager in disbelief. I took my car next door to the Jiffy Lube, described what had happened, and in 5 seconds the technician hopped in the car and reset the computer ON THE FIRST TRY. You you, Johnny the manager, I say: Try hiring some technicians at your store that know the first thing about car repair and maintenance if you hope to have any success. And second, when you screw something up, own it and find a way to take care of the problem, don't pass the buck. This was among the worst customer service I've ever received or observed. Needless to say, I will pay Jiffy Lube to do my tire rotations going forward rather than return to a Big O to have it done for free, and I'll never buy a set of tires from Big O again. And neither should you.
