| - I had previously written a stellar review praising the maintenance staff but I feel strongly compelled to otherwise warn ASU students and their parents to STAY AWAY. This is one of the WORST places i've ever lived at, and for reference, I've lived in Army barracks. Also, for the parents, if you're worried about your daughters getting creeped on by random middle aged men living here or non-students coming in here to try to party and invade the complex, this is NOT the apartment to house your children.
PRO: The student staff and maintenance staff are awesomely friendly and do their best with what they have.
CONS: Everything else.
Water shut off - as I sit here typing this, all the water is out in the building - not typically the biggest issue but it is when the notice was sent out YESTERDAY.
Pool closures - They closed the entire pool area right AFTER Spring Break to resurface the hot tub (poorly at that, might even still have some missing tiles). Now, the pool is closed AGAIN because they decided to resurface everything else - right in the middle of the Spring heat. You had all Winter Break folks.
Rent lost - I haven't personally experienced it but I know a handful who have been charged only for Blvd 1900 to tell them that they never received the money even despite the bank statement indicating that it went through.
Dog poop - the courtyards are continually littered with dog poop and an occasional stairwell might have one too.
The Clubhouse - what a fiasco. Anybody coming in to get a tour will see the only truly nice building in the complex. What you won't realize is that the first five months of this living year was devoid of the building because they couldn't their heads on their shoulders up at Scion with the construction.
The Internet - high speed my ass. The amount of times the connection's been dropped or websites not being able to load has been far too high to count.
The day I moved in, I moved into a completely filthy apartment with food crumbs and dust all over the communal space. Cockroaches are extremely common in the courtyards and if you're on the first floor, good luck. The apartments aren't remotely luxurious and there is absolutely NO soundproofing between rooms. The dog policy = $600, switching apartments = $200 REGARDLESS of what the issue is. I could go on and on ad nauseam but I'll stop here. Best of luck if you decide to move here!
