  • This bakery was 1-1.5* at best for me. It was my 2nd time in about 3 years. The last time I was here was just as bad. I came here on a Sunday afternoon as I was in the area and was craving some portuguese tarts. I got 2 portuguese tarts. They were quite burnt and I had to specifically tell the lady to pick the ones that werent too burnt for me. I also got 2 custards cups, an orange-mango(?) Roll and a cream log. The desserts were very disappointing. Everything was too sugary. The custard cups were DRENCHED in syrup. I understand it is supposed to be sweet, but I didn't expect the sugar taste to overpower the egg flavour. Might as well give me a cup of sugar. Similarly, there wasn't enough egg or lemon taste in the portuguese tarts. There were also breads available for purchase on the side shelf, but they weren't appetizing at all. In terms of the service, I am not sure if it is the culture or what but the ladies working there were rude and yelling at me when I asked for the price of each item. Well, it isn't my fault that there are no prices shown right? If you don't want people to keep asking you, maybe you should label what the dessert is and let us know how much each one costs. There are many other portuguese bakeries in mississauga that are way better than this one. I definitely won't be coming back.
