  • It's been nearly 6 years since I moved to the Valley from SoCal and I'm just discovering this place now?!?!?!?!?! WOW, what a burrito! For all things that are great about the Valley, the one issue I've had since moving out here was the state of burritos in PHX. Coming from SoCal, where the burrito is king, PHX mexican joints just can't hack it when it comes to my favorite mexican food. That all changed today with my first ever visit to Tolteca. The burrito was god size, the carne asade was some of the best I've had, and the tortilla was thick and awesome. This place is very cool, with all the other treats they offer (bakery, butcher shop) and I will most definitely be coming back again to sample other items from the menu, pickup a pork butt for bbq-ing, and of course, eat some burritos. Don't be put off by the neighborhood or the decor, the place is clean and I was suprised to find that nearly everyone inside habla'd engles. Very delicious meal, very cool place, and I will most certainly be retuning soon!
