  • DON'T ever get your vehicle serviced here AND DON'T ever purchase ANY kind of Nissan. In 2005 I waw the proud owner of a brand new 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Later in that year the brakes would squeel and squeel. After numerous times in and out of service (with no offer for a rental) AND a note to the service manager that we would pursue lemon law on our vehicle all of a sudden we had a whole new break job! Hip Hip Horray. Now I will say that for the following 7 years things were OK with our service... we just never had a consistent service advisor. Seemed like it was a different person each time we came in. Fast forward to March of last year. Our Pathfinder, which we have ONLY had serviced at Nissan is having some trouble. My wife gets stuck in dangerous situations and intersections with our 3 children. We find out that the transmission is contaminated. So I do a lot of research to find out that this is a "known" issue with all 05, 06, and 07 Pathfinders, Xterra's and Frontier vehicles. Nissan settled a dispute and offered customers a warranty extension to 100k miles, but we were never told what the problem was and how to avoid it. Meanwhile THOUSANDS of NIssan customers, like myself, are forced to pay $4k-$5k to fix this problem. The inner cooler seal breaks and leaks coolant into the transmission and contaminates it. This was the way Nissan built their transmission, but will not stand up behind it. Long story short, after filing numerous claims with Nissan local and international and getting local news to pursue my case Nissan basically said "screw you". So I save my money and find the most inexpensive way to get my transmission fixed. After 8 months of the car sitting I finally get it fixed. However, the battery (which I purchased from Nissan) is now dead, but still under warranty. So I am forced to go to Auto Nation Nissan and get a new battery. While I was there I decided I should get a oil change. Steven (the service advisor on hand) listens to my story again and says that "He'll take care of me". Actually mentions that Nissan is ending their program to "comp" people when there are problems. So I said to Steven, "So you're going to take care of me on that battery and oil change right?" He says "Yes". Let me just mention that I said numerous times to Steven that I realize the transmission is not his fault, but that he could do a great job at keeping my business by "taking care" of my 2 issues today. Well I come to pick up my Pathfinder and I have a bill for $65 something. WHAT? Are you kidding me? They call Steven up and he actually has the nerve to tell me he told me the oil change would be $39.99. Are you kidding me? He then says he'll see what he can do. So I wait another 10 minutes and he says he can't do the whole bill and takes some off my bill. (My bill is now $39). ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I tell Steven "You have lost a customer for life and I will tell everyone I know". So here I am - telling everyone I know!! DON'T spend a penny on ANY Nissan products, repairs, service, etc. NISSAN YOU SUCK!!! There is a special place in Hell for people and companies like you. $38... that was worth it to lose a customer for life. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
