| - I love Magic =D
This is the story of magic I experienced the night we went to see Davis Circus of Illusion: My husband and I took our youngest daughter and her husband's little sisters, who are teen-aged twins. They were happy to be invited to a fun activity, and to be treated as family by their brother's in-laws, but they did not get in the car expecting to be impressed by a magic show.
They started off kind of shy, smiling, but afraid to let themselves be "tricked" by any nonsense. But then the show started. They were entranced by Craig's act. They laughed. They were amazed. They were inspired by Jeanette's beautiful music. They were mesmerized (and a little embarrassed) by Myryka's gyrations. None of us were invited to participate, as some of the other reviewers were, but the show on the stage was not the only magic going on in the Cattle Track theater that night.
The chatter lasted all the way back home in the car, and beyond. "How did he do that?" "Did you see when that happened?!" "That made me jump!" "That was AWESOME!" Mostly in stereo, because when twins get excited . . .
So that was magical to me. Transforming teenagers from quiet, apprehensive cynics into jovial, enthusiastic chatterboxes. And what's even more magical is that ever since then, they aren't shy around us anymore. They come in the house and make themselves at home and it's nice to have other people's kids hanging out here again. It's been a while since teenage noise has bounced off these walls and it feels good.
Thanks for a great night. The whole show was fabulous.
