| - Review is for dinner buffet, 11/1/16
As far as Vegas buffets, and I've been to ALOT of them, this ranks very high IMO for quality. The price reflects that ($37), its about as expensive as they get. But if you get comped, or a 2-for-1, or MyVegas reward then yeehaw, score!
I thought the asian stir fry dishes, compared to other buffets, were outstanding. Ingredients like wood ear and gai lan, and several dim sum. The hot/sour soup was right on. If you want REALLY good asian food then get your butt down to Spring Mountain Road, otherwise, its decent.
Some may say you 'cant screw up crab' but I disagree. You surely can. Go try the Paradise Seafood buffet and let me know, assuming you survive. Aria serves whole legs (instead of ruining the meat by slicing them in half), and the legs were fairly meaty. Theyre tasty. And I had a bunch. I piled on a bunch of steamed clams and a few mussels.
The Prime Rib was fantastic. Medium rare and tender.
Salad bar - check, good, lots of decisions to make.
I'll admit I passed on the Indian fare and the pasta. I filled up with crab and prime rib :)
Our server, from Nigeria, was friendly and attentive, took good care of our drink needs. Coffee nice and strong.
While other reviewers poo-poo the dessert array, I thought it was one of the best I've seen at a Vegas buffet, reminded me of the old Palatium Buffet at Caesars. EVERYTHING i tried was delicious. Burnt cream, cheese cake, black forest cake, a scrumptious white choc chip cookie, coconut ice cream (or was it gelato? I dont know).
The clientele here, generally well dressed - so I wouldnt show up in gym shorts/t-shirts.
For a buffet, I think they've executed it pretty well, far better than most, so by comparison to other buffets it gets 4 stars. I hope next time I go to Vegas its still a MyVegas reward!
