  • Watch out for these guys! I took in my vehicle to have a recall item fixed. Shortly after dropping off my vehicle, I received an email with a list and estimated cost of repair for several other items. The service technician called to see if I wanted those items addressed. The first item on the list was replacing the spark plugs. Midway stated that the spark plugs were original (the vehicle is 10 years old). When I pointed out that the spark plugs had been replaced multiple times, the most recent of which was in the last month, the service technician said that "the mechanic must have not looked and just guessed, they do that sometimes". Since some of the other items on the list sounded serious, I had my mechanic look over those items and only one of them was legitimate. My mechanic (GM certified) charged about half the price to fix it that Midway quoted and said that Midway's quotes for the other items were grossly overinflated. I wonder how many people fall for these tactics and pay thousands of dollars for unnecessary repairs and/or grossly overpay for repairs that might be actually needed.
