  • After reading all of the great a lot of discussion in Yelp, and in need of a new barber in central Phoenix, I decided to give A&D a shot. Frequent conversation in Russian and the constant drone of Middle Easterny sounding lounge music greeted me at the door. Pleasant enough place inside - comfortable chairs, TVs galore (on mute), and the standard pile of magazines. I waited half an hour for a walk-in cut - not bad. My barber was attentive and methodical - taking his time. I had the taller, baldish, ex-military looking guy. I think he was the best of the group that I saw. My cut turned out pretty good - not the best, not the worst. I guess with all of the hype from the previous reviews, I expected a little more. But all in all - I got an A-OK haircut at an A-OK price.
