| - I discovered Cars and Coffee through serendipity. Searching for someone to handle a small graphic design project, I met an amazing couple in Henderson. She was a botanist. They had an old International Scout in the driveway waiting to be restored, so they obviously love cars.
Being a car lover too, they were quick to recommend Cars and Coffee to me. It is an informal car show that happens every Saturday morning from 8am-11am. There are between 100-300 cars there depending on the weather and other uncontrollable factors, and you are more than welcome to drive up in your pride and joy.
What's there? Everything from a '32 Ford Rat Rod to a Bugatti Veyron, and the show takes place in a shopping center parking lot, so there are places to grab breakfast and tea, including an Einstein's Bagels. And, there's coffee too, but I don't drink that stuff.
Even if you don't have your own auto gem to show off, this is a great way to spend a sunny, Saturday morning. Given that it is free, it is also a better value than the Auto Collections at Imperial Palace. An added bonus is that it is a great place to meet locals who have a passion for cars. Everyone is super friendly, and they all have lots of recommendations for other car events. A networking goldmine for all of us car crazies.
