CLT is a speed walker's paradox: miles of accessible pathways, dotted by gluttonous temptations at every 150 feet.
I've only ever connected here, and because all concourses are connected, I've never dealt with TSA. Ask a local.
However!
I can say the central atrium/food court/rocking chair graveyard is more beautiful than most, and the potential of what's popping among 43 dining options looks appealing enough. Recyclables are co-mingled, which is ecologically responsible. Gates are light years away from each other with skin-of-the-teeth connections all too commonplace. Just as often, there's a last minute gate change, which will have you doubling back on that 4 minute mile, Prefontaine.
People movers, TCBY and a Dale Jr. restaurant are all present. Celebrity sightings are a regular thing. You'll probably get bumped by a packed full courtesy cart - nobody over the age of 80 can walk this epic stretch of 70s carpeting.
