| - About 4 months ago I called this location and could not get through to speak to someone about reservations. It's a bit frustrating to keep listening to the machine and the options to press, and when I left a voicemail, I received no call the next day. So I Went to the location and was asked if I had a reservation, because I needed to be present for orientation. I had forgotten my proof of vaccinations, and I asked if they could be faxed and they said they needed them at the time of boarding. (not flexible at all) I left and have been boarding my dog at Hot Diggity Dog Daycare, since.
Yesterday, I received a coupon for 2 day boarding $29 and day care $17, so I called to experience the same delay in answering. I was disconnected while on hold, twice. I left a voicemail, no callback. E-mail no response. Really?
Finally, I got through and spoke to the "reservation specialist," and I inquired about their orientation, coupons received, and anything additional I should be aware of. She was very professional, but I really do not like pushy sales people (being that I am a sales consultant). Give the customer what they want! The coupon was just a hook to call, while it is $29 for two night boarding, they try to sell you packages that cost between $15-$25 in addition. If you say you want the lowest package, they come back to say "we do not recommend that package as it is for dogs that have recently had surgery, and only offers half a day of play time" Then the operator goes back to say "if you only pay an additional $5 per day, you get full day package" That's annoying. I then asked, if it would be considered an additional day if I dropped off Monday afternoon, and pick up Wednesday after 5pm. She said it would still be two days. Then, persistently, AGAIN, recommended the 4 Star package, to Finalize by saying "check out is at 11am for the package you want (3 start package) and 2pm for the other packages. Costing me ANOTHER $25, just for an additional 3hours.
I CANCELLED THE RESERVATION.
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Hot Diggity Dog Daycare. It might not be as fancy, but they are always friendly, caring and welcoming for any dog. They tell you the fees up-front. AND the first time I walked in, they were very ACCOMMODATING and FLEXIBLE by having my Vet fax the vaccinations for my dog. My dog is always happy at Hot Diggity Daycare, and if you only want Boarding, they even walk your dog during the day for no EXTRA charge.
Doggy District Pet Resort seems overpriced, and I really do not like their customer service. Proven twice.
