I used to go to Harris Grill quite often, primarily because the place feels cool: outside patio, nice big windows if you're lucky to get the sunny spot, frozen mimosas.
This was back in the day when they had the brunch buffet style, which I guess meant we were always biased by quantity vs. quality. My last recent trip there left me kind of annoyed. We went there early before the crowds gathered so we got a nice spot. I asked for some suggestions from the menu and got blank stares. Eventually, I went with bacon wings. Terrible idea. I think I'm not going to have wings for at least a year. Or salt for that matter because the whole thing was fried in what appeared to be smoked salt. The wings came with two spoonfuls of scrambled eggs which luckily were not seasoned at all so that compensated a bit for the NaCl overdose from the wings.
I like a fun menu but their pompous blurbs for each item ("oh how creative we are" said in the hipstery ironic tone) should be followed with some actual information from the waiting staff!
