Walked into the elevator and go straight to the top, you will step out and instantly feel wicked sexy ;-) This isn't a club, it's an ultra lounge but it makes me feel like it's my rich uncles den and I was invited over for stiff drinks with dinner. Strolling through the dark, intimate Buddhist themed lounge in heels and a little black dress I felt like a predator making my way out to the belvedere. The view is stunning, it adds even more sex appeal to this beautiful lounge. During the winter heat lamps are provided but who needs those when this environment is perfect for getting warmth through drinks and body heat ;-)
I've been coming to Foundation Room for many moons now since I'm anti club kid but I need to occasionally entertain out of town guests. Foundation Room is owned by House of Blues and use to be available to members only. I felt privileged when I was invited to join the events in the past but now this gorgeous lounge is available to all to enjoy. I almost dare to say it's a unintentional best kept secret in Las Vegas. The crowd isn't young 20 something's, it's more 30-40's so you won't see little ladies having their hair held back in the bathrooms because drinking is a new thing to them. The dark romantic ambiance plays well with my soul, way more than the uber mega clubs on the strip.
It's not just a lounge mind you there is a fine restaurant here also. I really won't touch much onto that because it was years ago when I ate there and my memory is fairly faded about that night. I do remember drinks were abundant, stiff and I was all smiles and sunshine that night. I will just assume my food pleased me other wise the libations made the food extremely palatable.
Ladies and Gents, if you are like me and enjoy feeding your dark sultry side and would rather be around class than frat boys and woo girls I suggest you make your way to the 63rd floor of Mandalay Bay.
