  • I really enjoy this restaurant. It's a tiny shop on East Carson in Southside and you can easily forget you're in the heart of the hustle and bustle down there. It's a perfect place to meet with friends or for a date. Once, they had a three piece band play live music. The price is reasonable and the food is excellent. I have been to La Palapa on a few occasions and I find the service is always excellent as well. The servers are always willing to answer any questions I have and never seem impatient if you bring a large group. I've tried a lot of different items on the menu but I liked the Chorizos Espanol I had on Friday evening. I'll be going back, they've got a regular in me!
