| - I have been to over 100 Chinese foot massage places in CA, AZ and NV, and have had mostly great experiences. John, the owner of Happy Feet Spa was super nice and escorted us to our massage bed after seeing that we'd been waiting in the lobby (The lobby itself would be so much more professional and inviting if it were updated). The massage area was very nice. The 60 min massage for $20 was great too!
BUT it quickly went bad when, as we were paying, our masseuse(s) stood behind us waiting for their tips, and when we gave them $10 each, (which mind you is a 50% tip!!) they said angrily "no!! No!!"...and pointed to the framed "tip suggestion" guideline. First of all, SINCE WHEN is a tip mandatory, and 2nd, how dare they refuse a 50% tip, and DEMAND a 100% tip ($20 tip for a $20 massage)?!?!? Never have I seen such rude behavior and expectation at any other foot massage establishment before!! If they aren't getting paid enough, then they need to take that up with the owner...not harass the clientele. Extremely unprofessional!! In utter shock, we ended up giving them $15 each (they scoffed at it and left). Next time I will just drop the 50% tip at their feet and leave...
