  • If you are an outdoor enthusiast you really can't go wrong shopping here. It's a membership concept like Costco but you only join once and then get a purchase discount on everything you buy. Every kind of clothing and gear you can imagine and the department staff are usually really involved in the products they are assigned to sell. The hook is that they sell top quality products and have a cool return policy. The top quality part is a BIG plus for me. How would you like to depend on a climbing rope or scuba regulator you bought on sale at Target or Sports Authority? I recently bought some gear to backpack in Costa Rica and had two employees give me buying advice based upon their own Costa Rica experiences. I was debating on which style of hiking shoe to buy and the guy told me to buy a pair, try them out before I left and bring them back for a refund or exchange if I didn't like them. How bout them apples? They have a good website and retail locations all over the place. There always seems to be an additional discount coupon on the website
