| - This review is for those people like me, who HATE getting waxed. We find it undignified, largely unnecessary, except for the fact that it is expected of women to maintain the facade of a hair-free body. Sigh. Oh well, hate the game, not the playas, apparently, right? We realize that this is an act of insanity. Paying for what would otherwise be classified as abuse.
Well, it is as pain-free and humiliation-free as it can get, when one is dealing with Jamie. She does waxing, skincare and Lash extensions over at Mesha. Check out her website for complete info.
I ended up at Mesha because it was the (now I know former) address of a highly Yelped waxing professional with whom I had made an appointment. Well, unfortunately I never made it there. I did not have the original person's phone number saved in my phone, and I was running late. All I had was her address, which was wrong. Do I feel like a total flake? Yes I do. But then again, I am so glad it happened.
Jamie offered to stay late in order to accommodate me. I was already frazzled, so I took her up on it. It's been a LONG time since I "treated" myself to a professional wax. I had not forgotten the pain, so I expected the worst. It wasn't bad. Jamie was professional, efficient and really did do her best to make sure I didn't suffer. I appreciated that.
I also appreciated the QUALITY of the wax treatment. There was minimal redness and discomfort later. I would pay big time for that, but the cost was more than reasonable.
I will definitely be back and I would encourage everyone to give her a try.
