| - Visiting from California, where there are a lot of fine dining choices: I have to say this was one of the best meals/dining experiences I have ever had. The setting is cozy and quaint - only a limited number of diners per seating - you get the feeling like you've been invited to a special dinner party. The entire staff was exceptional: the perfect balance between warm and friendly while also being masters in their designated roles. Progressing from one location to another a few times throughout the course of the evening added to the intrigue and contributed to the homey-vibe. Once you get into the main dining room, the kitchen is in full display. Although there was a well-choreographed production underway, the kitchen activity was astonishingly muted: no yelling, screaming chefs, no pots and pans banging. And, you could watch them prepare the food and help plate if you desired. I did have a *no seafood* dietary restriction, and the alternate dishes I was served in place of seafood were extraordinary. Since it was 24 courses or so, I can't go into the entire menu but I would like to share some outstanding items: the chorizo stuffed dates, steak tartar mini taco, the Black Truffle Avocado Toast on fried country bread toast! Also, every dish was described thoroughly and with such economy, you were able to learn about the dish, the provenance of ingredients, but still never feel interrupted or side-tracked from conversation. Pretty remarkable. It really is a must-do experience if you love food and appreciate the art of cooking, The wine and drink pairings were absolutely perfect, and in closing: the Mango sorbet is in a class by itself. I hope you love it as much as my friends and I did. Thank you Chef Binkely and your entire staff for providing such a glorious evening.
