  • I had a lovely stay at the Chelsea! It was my first time in Toronto (actually, in Canada itself)! It was in the heart of Downtown Toronto, which I assumed would be what the "Entertainment District" actually is. It is a little sketchier that I expected in the area, but only at night. I was pleased with the amount of options for coffee and food in the morning (especially Tim Hortons). The hotel itself was beautiful, but there was a major flaw in the elevator system. There were three sets of elevators, each for a different section of floors. During check-in or check-out times, it was nearly impossible to get on an elevator. I waited 20 minutes at a time at some points before there was an elevator that would fit two more people on it. I was also disappointed that there was no restaurant/lounge type-place on site. There was plenty to do around the hotel, but the only food on-site was a "grab-and-go" market-type. I would definitely stay again though, but better planning was needed for the elevator and food situations.
