My family comes here and the other supermarket in Market Village every weekend and I dread it so much. The prices are low for the most part and the variety and selection of products are great but my biggest gripe is the customer service or staff workers.
They don't communicate verbally, and if they do it usually involves a loud yelling voice to get people to move outta their way while they haul boxes of product. So I was looking over some frozen food and a young staff worker with a box full trolley started pushing his way through the aisle while kicking the customer carts to the side which also hit me. He didn't have any regard for customers nearby and to even say an "excuse me" in chinese or something.
When I got to the cashier, I thought the lady inputted more than I bought and I was asking her about it. I received an angry face and a blunt broken cantonese response in return saying "Did you buy 8 or did you buy 7?!" It was so rude. They certainly seem to be poorly trained in customer service and mannerisms in general. I re-counted and found out she did in fact correctly input the number of things I bought, and I apologized. Still, the tone of her voice and choice of words were very rude. And as I paid, no "thank you!" Ugh... I will endure the nonsense just for the food.
