  • I am really unhappy with this practice. I only go here because the insurance I have (Med Cost for CHS employees) is not accepted by a lot of providers. I see Dr. Bendezu and here are a few things I have noticed 1. very unorganized 2. messages sent through My Carolina are not answered in a timely manner 3. he does not like to do Paps. During my physical exam he did not even offer one. When I asked about it he referred me out. As a nurse I know an internal medicine doctor can do a routine pap and they may refer you out if you have ob/gyn concerns. I have none of those. So in a nutshell I guess he just prefers not to do it. 4. I have been diagnosed with ADD he still has not rx'd me any medication and I have to go to neuropsych (more money and time) even though I have a pmh of positive treatment for this condition. 5. The triage nurse is very rude. I don't remember her name. but I was super sick one day and she just said "well what do you want me to do about it" 6. I requested a medication on 11/28 so far I have not seen the med. Overall I can not wait to switch. I keep him as my provider until I can find someone who is accepting new patients and our insurance. But overall I would not go to this practice if I were you or at least not to Dr. Bendezu. Don't get me wrong he seems very nice and knowledgeable but the things above are a turn off.
