| - *I hope this review will help anybody who's looking into get a car from this place.
There are several good things and several bad things about this company. They have an in house financing that will get almost everybody approved, no matter how much down payment you put. I came in with a friend and I had $1k towards the down-payment.
This is what they'll do, they'll have you sign the paperwork BEFORE you get to test drive any one of the car but once you do, they'll essentially get you approved for just about any car you want to pick on the lot.
If you made it this far, take a walk around their lot. They might not be a lot of cars because they are constantly selling cars/trucks/suv's. Once you find a car that you like, test drive it. go around the block, test drive it on the freeway.
When you come back and say you like the car, they'll bring you back into their AC office and bring you the paperwork. Be FOREWARNED, choose a car within you BUDGET. Their interest rate is REALLY HIGH, if you cannot make at least the minimum payment you'll find yourself extremely hurting or end up paying a lot more than what it was worth.
However, they are true to their word about one thing, the way they had set up the payment options, you'll see a HUGE increase in your credit score within about 6 months. I had walked in with ~500 credit score. I am currently sitting on a credit score of 64x. It's a give or take.
They'll essentially have 2 options, bi-weekly or monthly. I personally find the bi-weekly a lot easier on the wallet than the monthly because you're not stressing to scamble $300+ dollars each month. In addition, I also recommend NOT setting up an auto-pay option, deny that option or get out of it asap. They happened to double charge me on my card for one payment and it caused my bank account to get over-drafted. I find it MUCH easier for me to come and pay for the car when it's due, especially when you set up an alarm on your phone to remind you.
Those were the good things about the company.
Here are the bad things about the company:
1. There are only a handful of cars on the lot that's worth the money. I walked away with a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4. Out the door it was $9500 over the course of 3 years, which I felt was a fair price for the SUV that only had 90,xxx miles when I got it. The car hasn't had any issues with me for the past year and a half and i'm a 1/3 of the way through paying the loan. Make sure to read the paperwork and that the car you're getting is a fair price. They'll essentially kbb the car and add in the interest rate over the course of 3 years. Unless you have 650 credit score or higher expect an interest rate of around 8-10%.
2. DO NOT miss out on the payments, just like a customer mentioned before, they will repo your car if you miss more than 3 days of payment. They said, "It's not a traditional loan." which translate: they'll barrage you with calls for about 3 days and if you don't come in, they'll send a repo guy to your door. It's essentially them forcing you to pay everything on time, and force you to get better credit.
3. I never had to use their service for oil change or stuff like that, I don't trust anyone other than my mechanic, but from what I am hearing it's a nightmare, unlike other mechanics they'll provide you with a loaner car during the time they fix yours. This company no longer does that because they "cancelled their insurance".
Overall, there are several good and bad things about this company. However, if you can manage to be an adult and pay your things on time. This company will most definitely help you with your credit score. The huge increase in my credit score has helped me secure several credit cards, other loans, and hopefully a house.
I only gave them a 3 star because of the repo issue, they seriously don't work with you if you're having difficulties making a payment or like me, forget to make a payment.
I DO recommend shopping around before settling, I do have some buyer's remorse for not looking around for better options before settling. It's not like getting a girlfriend, there are more cars out there if you aren't happy with your options here.
I would recommend this place if this is what you want to do:
- Improve your credit score within 6 months
- Walk away with a car that same day, it's practically guaranteed that you'll get a car if you go here.
