| - Excellent Food, Nice Friendly Service (but slow)
I've been here at least five times now and the food is always excellent. It's fun taking new people here to try it, especially people from out of town so they can see all the different foods Vegas has to offer. Of course, Forte was featured on DDD, so that's always a sign of a great place.
Everything on the menu is great. My personal favorites are the Bulgarian Easter Lamb, Lamb Chop Lollipops, the Bulgarian Mixed Grill, the Thracian Clay Pot, and any of the salads. The Black True Caviar with Truffle Salami Flatbread is awesome, but they don't offer it anymore. I wasn't really a fan of the Russian dishes, but my wife loved the dumplings since they reminded her of the Ukrainian neighborhood in Chicago. I wasn't really a fan, but I liked the Perogies we tried when we were in Poland. With that comparison, I still didn't like the dumplings at Forte, but I'll take my wife's word for it that they are good as related to Russian ones.
The servers are always nice and friendly. The restaurant recently remodeled, so it is a bit more comfortable. The music is like being in Eastern Europe with the eletronica, but it's not too loud. The service is a bit on the slow side, so don't go here if you're in a hurry. You might want to look at the menu ahead of time to put in a food order with your drink order since it might take a bit of time for the server to return to take your food order.
