  • I came in here for the first time since they switched over from World of Beers. I thought the name "funky monk" might be alluding to something like a nice selection of trappist beers but, alas, it wasn't to be. My husband and I sat down at the bar. They were playing My Shot from the Hamilton remix, which was kind of cool. I was a bit disappointed by the beer selection (nothing that I haven't had before) and they were out of both the Red Bull slush and ice cream. I ordered the Flowers Child drink instead of a beer and it was, unfortunately, extremely bitter and undrinkable. It tasted like they over brewed the green tea. The bar tender, Joey, was awesome though. He made me an Old Fashioned, which was quite good. He also added some extra ingredients to the Flower Child and made it drinkable. I also order the Can You Dig It Flatbread, which is more like a pizza than a Flatbread. It's pretty big and quite filling. I really enjoyed it. Overall, the place has a nice atmosphere and, if you like mostly basic beers and good customer service, it's worth visiting.
