  • These guys are real characters. I was out there to visit Henderson Toyota and take a look at a used 2011 Avalon but before I left, I checked my mail and found that Henderson Nissan mailed me a "Free Television" offer. I scoffed, but I figured 'What the heck?" I'm going out there anyway and I'm guaranteed a Walmart gift card so I'll give it a shot. Odds were high I wasn't going to buy a Nissan. I love my Avalon and had it for 11 years, I was out to buy another one. But then again, a salesman's job is to persuade. Well I was persuaded alright... Persuaded to chuckle. I walk up and I'm approached by one of their guys before I walk in. I explain why I'm here and we walk over to a table. He sits down and begins to write down my information, fair enough. He then asks what car I drive, how many miles I have and then makes an assumptive question "What car would you like? I have this coupon that's good for 2,000 dollars down and I can "probably" get you 4,000 for your trade." I know my "trade" isn't worth 4k, it's a 98 Avalon. Private sale it's worth 2200, maybe. So I know they're going to roll the over-valuation into the price of the new car. That's at least 1800 (but probably more like $2,800), plus their $2,000 dollar "coupon". I explain that the math doesn't work. Then I hit him back with a ridiculous assertion of my own. I asked him "If I would buy a Maxima right now, trading my Avalon and have a monthly payment of $100 dollars, would you sell it to me?" I heat checked him, he rolled his eyes and said "Let me get my manager". He took the TV promo over to the manager and came back with some lotto type scratcher (lol, he didn't even mention my Maxima proposition) And here's where it gets sad. The promo said that if I didn't win the TV, money or other prize, I would receive a Walmart giftcard as consolation. Well you guessed it. The salesmen tried to weasel out of his own promotion. He told me "We're out of those for today. You'll have to come back tomorrow, early. I told him that that's failure to disclose. I should have been told that 10 minutes ago. He said "read the fine print" lol, I did before I decided to show up. It said nothing about "While supplies last on a day to day basis", it didn't even say "While supplies last" lol. The salesmen went back to the managers desk and somehow a giftcard came out of nowhere. This is an all around 1-star review because of the unethical execution of the marketing promotion and because of the dismissive salesmen. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SELL YOUR CUSTOMER, NOT ASSUME THAT HE'S IGNORANT.
