| - If your bringing the kids to Kew Gardens, be prepared to stay for a while!
Kew Gardens is nestled in the middle of the Beaches and runs from Queen St all the way south to the Beach.
This place has it all, and most importantly one of the largest Castles for kids in Toronto. The castle has bouncy bridges, tunnels, slides, climbing walls, fire poles and you have the makings of good times! There are a couple of swings, and a old school cement splash pad adjacent to the castle. The washrooms are as old as you could possibly get, so be sure to bring items such as portable change table, wipes and what not to keep the kids fresh and clean!
The park also has beautiful, environmentally protected gardens that span the entire grounds. Kew Gardens actually has a full time team dedicated to maintain the annuals and perennials year round.
Head to the bottom of the gardens and you will find an outdoor rink (beware of the freezing cold air coming off the water in the winter), and an area to host an outdoor picnic in the summertime.
Kew Gardens is one of my favorite spots in the city to either relax, bring the kids or simply enjoy the green space within our concrete jungle.
