  • I'll start by saying that, if Yelp would let me, I'd give this company negative stars. Also, If you don't read any other part of my very lengthy review then at least hear me when I say that Greater Las Vegas Property Management is an unprofessional and rude property management company that are disorganized and, put simply, just don't do good business. I strongly advise not to go through with leasing from them. Now for the lengthy part: My sister and I were very excited about a cute little house we found. It was the perfect location and the price was right. After reaching out to Greater Las Vegas, we finally got ahold of a realtor who was a complete disorganized mess. We had to follow up with her several times until, finally, we were able to view the property. The house was great, at first... When we turned in our application and holding deposit, and after we were approved, we were told we could do a walk through before we signed our lease and the house would be ready by 1/15/15. The day of the scheduled walk through, I had to follow up with the realtor to find out that the house wasn't ready and we couldn't view it until after we signed the lease (I don't suppose anyone thought to tell me this before I arranged to leave work early to meet her at the house.. ) Though frustrated, I reluctantly agreed. The day of the lease signing, my sister and I had arranged to leave work early (again) only to find out once we arrived at the property management office that the lease agreement wasn't even written nor was anyone at the office for us to "sign with anyway." Instead of being apologetic about their mistake, the office assistant very rudely said that she heard from the realtor our appointment was for 3:45 not 4:30 despite my sister scheduling directly with this rude office assistant and never even speaking to the realtor about it. Instead of being apologetic about the confusion and inconvenience, she rudely stated that we would just have to come to the office the following day at 11:30 am (right in the middle of our work day after we've already left our jobs early two days in a row for this company to flake on us each time) or we could get a refund. Another words, if we wanted the house, we had no choice. We show up the following day to the same office assistant snatching things out of our hands and the owner blaming us for his office staffs complete lack of communication and professionalism. When the owner would finally listen to my sister and I, we expressed concern about not being able to see the house and pointed out that they had rescheduled/cancelled on us multiple times due to their own errors. He agreed to let us view the property that evening and come back on Saturday to sign the papers. How nice of him... We were really frustrated but still excited to see the house so the realtor agreed to show us the property that evening. When we show up for our walk through, instead of apologizing for all of errors and hurdles they made my sister and I jump through, she bombarded us at our car, handed us our holding deposit and says to take the money because they "just made honest mistakes and don't want any trouble," then tries to scold my sister for being frustrated that, after driving from her law office downtown by the courthouse to W. Sahara, she was told by the office assistant that that was just too bad and we would just have to come back another time. Because who wouldn't be frustrated right? Instead of giving us our refund at the office before scheduling us to do the walk through that evening and the lease signing the following day, they made us drive all the way out to the property, under false pretenses, to give us our money back. How ludicrous is that?! I mean seriously, what is wrong with this company? While my sister and I are young women and should have noticed the many, many red flags, we were so excited about the rental property that we failed to realize how sinister and suspicious the rental company actually was. I would advise anyone interested in a property managed by Greater Las Vegas to think twice before proceeding. The staff is rude, disorganized and make prospective tenants work way to hard to view and lease a property. They make scheduling errors unapologetically (even if you are leaving work early) and make countless excuses for their actions. It really is a shame that places that operate this way are still in business. Not only did they make mistakes that could very simply have been avoided with proper communication, they lied and avoided confrontation, refused to take ownership of their actions, made things as difficult as possible and were, quite frankly, miserable to deal with. My sister and I got extremely lucky by avoiding what was undoubtably going to be a miserable lease term with a company who should be out of business!
