| - I found AZ Dent Shop on Yelp. My car had, unfortunately, suffered a dent at the hand of some Valet parking attendant and those kinds of things bother me as I like to keep my vehicle as pristine as possible. So, when I was looking for a body shop, I checked Yelp. I looked in the area of a body shop that I had used previously that was not open on Saturday. Like most people, I work M-F and I live way out on the west side of town (Glendale) and there aren't a whole lot of body shop choices. So I was very pleased when Yelp directed me to AZ Dent Shop, which...according to Yelp... was open on Saturday. I headed over in search of an estimate. Unfortunately, when I got there, I found that AZ DENT SHOP IS NOT OPEN ON SATURDAY, regardless of what Yelp says (I informed Yelp today so they could update their records). Disappointed but undeterred, I vowed to come back. Arriving on a Monday, I met Jay... the owner. He provided me what I thought was a fair estimate to remove the dent on the left fender and I told him I would be calling to make an appointment. I should mention that Jay wrote the amount of the estimate on the back of his business card. None of this "they said/you heard" issues. I then scheduled an appointment for later that week. Today, when I arrived, I had planned on waiting on site for 3 hours as my car was fixed as that was the timeframe Jay had quoted when I got my estimate. When Jay learned that I would be waiting, he decided to do the job himself as he said it would get done faster. WHAT A THING TO DO! he could, as the Boss, had stayed in his office and had me...and my car...wait for the 3 hours that I had been advised. But NO! That would not do. Well, anyway, Jay took my vehicle back in the shop and I planted myself on the couch in the very comfortable lobby area. After about 45 mins, Jay came and got me and wanted to show me something. Uh oh, I thought. This walk in to the back was going to cost me money. It turns out Jay wanted to show me what he thought was a concern where you might still be able to see a very small line from the dent. He showed me, under a very bright light, what he thought was the concern, To be honest, I didn't see it. He clearly did, but I didn't. I appreciated him showing me what he thought was a concern even though I didn't see the concern he did. Jay advised me it would be about 15 more mins and he would be done. Good to his word, about 15 mins later Jay pulled my car up in front. He kept the car running and had the air conditioning going as well which was very thoughtful of him given the heat of a June afternoon. When he came inside, I was settling up with his co-owner (his Dad) and I told Jay how much I appreciated his doing the work, faster than expected and pulling the car up with the AC going. Well, he said, he likes to please his customers. So... if you are thinking of going to AZ Dent Shop, "Knife N Fork" can recommend this business without reservation. They are fair, friendly and professional. What more can you ask for? They deserve your business.
