To clarify J.H.'s comment there is a full-sized hockey rink with boards, nets, and a great player's bench. Beside the rink is another ice pad about 3/4 the length and 1/2 the width of the rink. It's perfect for a skate while shinny is being played on the rink.
I've played about 4 times at Ramsden this winter and plan to go as often as possible while the ice is still available. It's zamboni'd often, the staff are courteous and helpful, the ice is great when the conditions are right (not too often in Toronto!) but you have to be careful when it's around 5C or above because it'll get really slushy in some parts.
Thanks to the Maple Leafs for sprucing up this rink a few years ago. Everything is top notch.
