  • We came here for the 3 PM tour, upon arrival I did notice it was sold out. I booked our tickets about 2-3 weeks before the trip, so if this activity is a MUST for you, book before you go to Vegas. I had hoped that some of the signs would be lit up, but none of them were at 3pm. Anyway, it was still neat to see so many great signs. Our guide was a Las Vegas local, he was a bit sarcastic, but quite knowledgeable. We learned some interesting facts about the area and the history of the signs. We were adequate time to take photos of the signs Overall, the two of us enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a bit more about Las Vegas history and the vibrant neon signs. ***I want to bring up the safety of the area that this museum is in, I think it's important to mention. I am from a small, very safe city in Upstate New York and currently live in Los Angles (near Venice), so I am used to homeless and sketchiness. The parking situation in Las Vegas is a bit of a pain in the butt, so we left our car near Freemont Street and walked the 1/2 mile or so over to the museum. We were quite frightened by the unsavory characters in the museum's neighborhood and there is a homeless encampment 1 street away (tent city). I think it's relevant to bring this up, because a lot of people come from small towns to visit and don't rent a car while in Sin City. We opted to walk back to Freemont Street a different way and again encountered sketch balls and were harassed for money. So, if you have a car, I recommend driving it and parking by the museum or maybe take a cab.***
