| - I am warning everyone that if you write a bad review, these guys WILL show up to your doorstep and attempt to bribe you with cash and free furniture. By writing this, I am already taking a risk. The story goes: a day after writing my updated review, Barry calls my wife multiple times apologizing and begging us to come back. His assistant, Patricia, and one of his delivery men, Mark, both also try to call my wife multiple times. We ignored their calls, and hoped Barry would've understood that we were never coming back. This wasn't the case.
The next day (Sunday, June 11, 2017), Barry and Mark show up to my door at approximately 4:45PM. We opened the door, and my wife immediately let him know that we weren't pleased that he was at our doorstep, and I told him "Barry, we're done with your business." he literally begged us to come back, telling us that he's a good man, a Christian, and that he would never do anything wrong. He explained us irrelevant information to why our furniture was not delivered the day and time we wanted, telling us his life story of a relative dying in his family, and that the people he hired stole from his store. This led me to believe that he does NOT conduct background checks on his employees, and is willing to hire anyone of any background. I also understand that we're all human, have our own problems to deal with, and even I have sympathy for those who are dealing with issues at home. However, a heads up would have been nice, and I would have been understanding if Barry had told us what was going on to why our furniture is not being delivered on the day or time we want. This also didn't explain why his assistant, Patricia, wasn't helpful with us during the weeks we expected our furniture.
After he told us his life story, he literally went down on his knees, begged for forgiveness, and pulled out $500 cash. He wanted to pay me to update and give a better rated Yelp review. We refused the cash, so he told us he would deliver our furniture and pay for it. We still told him no, that we forgave him and accept his apology, but that we no longer wanted to do business with him (because we decided to shop with Sears, and got 2-day free shipping from them, which arrived on time). He nodded, got up from his knees, shook our hand, and left.
Despite this encounter, he and Patricia still continued to call us to let us know "we have your furniture and it's on standby for whenever you want it delivered". We ignored him. This continued on since 6/11/17, and finally, today (6/18/17) on Father's day, him and an unknown person had the audacity to deliver our unwanted furniture to our doorstep.
I want to warn everyone that they will NOT take no for an answer. Avoid this store, and shop at a bigger, reputable furniture company such as Sears, Macys, RC Willey, Walker Furniture, etc. the bigger companies will deliver on time, and like mentioned earlier, may even give free 2-day delivery. Avoid this store! These guys have caused so much stress for me and my pregnant wife, it's ridiculous.
