  • I've been dying to get to the 5th Ave Milkshake Factory ever since I started following their Instagram account. I live just a few blocks from the Carson Street establishment, but the fancy pictures of the sundaes in glass bowls and other frills enticed me to get in my car and cross a river. Getting to this place isn't easy, as you have to find parking and street parking nearby is scarce. When I finally arrived I was greeted by a warm, clean and bright space with friendly staff. My husband had a root beer float, and after much deliberation I decided to try a hot chocolate since this is not something offered in South Side. I perused the menu and found not much difference than the South Side location. I'm a big fan of their sundaes as they come with a truffle on top - yes please! I really wish they would update the South Side location to the standards of the 5th Ave. spot! Bottom line - this is worthy of a stop if you are near market square and would like to have a sweet treat or pick up some delicious chocolate. They have their chocolate counter and some prepackaged selections that would make fantastic stocking stuffers.
