  • This was one of the worst places I have been. The guy who checked me in was making a copy of my info... He turned around to speak with a coworker. All of a sudden he lost the copy he just made. So he had to make another copy of it. The triage nurse has no bedside manner. She goes through all the medical questions out loud. Everyone can hear her ask other people if they do recreational drugs and other personal details. I'm sure this violates some HIPPA regulation. Everyone else in the waiting room do not need to hear about other people's medical conditions and medical history. And they don't need to hear about mine. Her tone and demeanor make it seem as if she thinks she is better than everyone else. She just lectures everyone that she sees in a condescending tone. The wait it terrible. We checked in at 11pm. They were not very busy at all. We were seen by the triage nurse about 15-20 minutes after checking in. After that we sat there for almost 1 1/2 hours. No one even called us back. I saw a couple falling asleep on the couch, as if they were getting ready for a long long wait. I asked the receptionist, who lost my personal info during check-in, if I was looking to be there for another 2-3 hours. He just kind of nodded his head. The triage nurse then said she would go in the back to check. She pretty much told me that it would a bit of a wait and there was one person ahead of me. The person who was before them was called back 1 1/2 hours ago. So I figured with another person ahead of me...I'm looking at least 2-3 hour intervals when they call people back. She used an excuse about ambulances pulling in and other issues. There were no ambulances pulling in or out. I know because I was sitting in the waiting room looking at where an ambulance would enter. None were coming or going. So I told the absent minded receptionist that I'm going to check out and go to MD Now in the morning when they open. DO NOT GO TO ARIZONA GENERAL HOSPITAL ...unless you want a good night's rest on their waiting room couch. Go to MD Now...they have two offices in Laveen and are 100 times better than Arizona General.
