  • 5 years ago we bought the most beautiful, healthy Bernese Mountain Dog pup who has been an angel to our family. When our son passed away from cancer just 8 months after we bought our puppy here he has been our lifesaver lifting our spirits daily to keep us going. Our experience here was wonderful. I often feel judged telling others when they ask that we got our dog from a pet store. I always clarify that not all pet stores are irresponsible and I would never support and that is. We had never purchased dogs from a pet store before and were leary because of all the negativity associated with them but we use to love coming into Petland because there store was so clean and the puppies all seem so happy. The staff was always so great. I am sad to hear this store will no longer be able to carry pure breeds from responsible breeders. All dogs both pure breed and shelter dogs all bring something so special to their owners. Not all pure breed breeders in quality pet stores such as Petland come from poorly run puppy mills which should be outlawed at the source for sure. We no longer live in Vegas but our experience 5 years ago was wonderful and our dog purchased there has been the heartbeat of our family.
