| - Thanks to my dog whizzing for on a case of them at a local bottleshop, I'm now a huge fan of The Unknown! We were in Charlotte last weekend and decided to stop by their brewery because beers are always better straight from the source. Located on Mint Street a few blocks out of busy downtown Charlotte, The Unknown would be my home away from home if I were a resident. There's even tons of free parking in the lot beside the brewery.
The best part- their taproom is dog friendly! Oliver got to share my love of The Unknown, and the friendly bartenders just loved him to pieces. They had Over the Edge on tap- a house favorite that Oliver bought for me in Raleigh. It seems like they have something to please everyone, including IPAs, wheats, blondes, lager, stout, etc. I was impressed!
The brewery itself is freaking HUGE and very clean- with tons of room to move inside. I liked their ping pong table inside! The taproom is spacious and clean with great lime green decor. There are 8-10 stalls in the bathroom that was also immaculate. The outdoor patio was quite inviting too, though it was a bit rainy that night.
If The Unknown made a few more stouts or porters, I'd give them 5 stars!
