  • I was in a minor rear end in Oct 2015 ($1,800K on him) but I never thought in a million years a few lights down from that stoplight...and a few months later...I would be rear ended again involving a hit and run asshole. I got rear ended Jan 2016 very bad, the person took off. Sitting first at the stoplight I was lucky this situation was not worse. Whiplash, back issues and almost $15K in damage...this situation was bad enough. My nice new car was completely smashed. Back hatch, back hatch shell, back bumper, all sensors and components under bumper, right taillight, right back quarter, right back door, bent roof shell, and labor and paint...a total nightmare. Called the claim in to Progressive (we both have had them over ten+ years) a few hours later and we drove the bumper flying off smashed end car to the center the next day. Let's get this done. Pre Drop Off: As a diamond customer they offered to come pick up the car and take it to the shop we wanted to use but I just wanted hubby to get the rental for me and get this deal over with. Hurt and in a wrist splint I wanted this process over (again) ASAP. Drop off: We arrived to a beautiful smiling face (can't remember her name) Hubby gave them the keys. Signed some papers. She explained accident forgiveness. She said she felt sooo bad for me and I must have been in pain, yes I was in major pain, empathy nice. Done. She/they would call when it was ready. We were offered water, snacks, blah blah, everything but a massage. The transaction was soo fast we didn't even have a minute to check it out, which is awesome. Rental: They actually put my car in the body shop I wanted it in and the rental was a brand new 1400 mile spotless one. Hundyai GT something. Cute, black, brand new and clean (thank goodness no smells) but I drove it three times maybe? over the week and a half. Pickup: We drove the rental back put the $4 in gas in it across the street, pulled in and was greeted with a smiling face again. The guy took hubbys card for the deductible then the rep he took us outside to my baby. It looks like it just drove off the showroom floor...again. Needless to say it was a very smooth transaction. Hey that's what insurance is for right? It blows my car baby was rear ended again. The person who did this can eat a big one (karma is a bitch)...but with this insurance and excellent customer service...hey it could have been way freaking worse!
