| - My experience at Color nation was great. The salon is gorgeous, with lots of amenities and very friendly staff. I'll go through why I won't be returning:
-Online scheduling: I booked my appointment online for a haircut/blowdry, only to go to my appointment and learn the stylist thought I was getting a color/cut. This is because the online booking system is complete rubbish and doesn't give clear and concise labels for each service. The stylist let me know I wasn't the first to make this mistake, however the tone of the visit completely changed after I said I was just in for a cut.
-Listening to my needs: I went in with my hair natural. I have long, wavy, frizzy hair. I asked for a shorter look with lots of layers to play up the waves and play down the poofiness. I know she understood what I had asked, because she exclaimed that layers would look good on a shorter 'do. I didn't get layers. The result was 4-5" chopped off my head in a straight line. Nothing more. My hair is now longer in the front than it is in the back.
I also asked for a full side bang. I didn't get it. The bang I received is actually only 2 inches shorter than my actual hair, and doesn't look like a bang no matter how I style it, just hair a little shorter than the rest.
-Now, you'll ask why I didn't ask them to fix it? Because I'm an introvert. I'm quiet, I don't know how to speak up and I certainly don't have the balls to ask for someone to fix their mistake. I won't name the stylist, because I'm sure that if I had asked her to fix it, she would have tried harder.
-Cost: the cut was $40, however I was asked rather bluntly what I wanted to tip with the stylist right there, so even if I didn't want to leave a tip, I was forced to out of embarrassment.
