  • I've always had really good luck with Newbys in the past, but this last visit was literally a joke. My car overheated on the freeway, ok, that's fine. I have it towed to Newbys like always but the usual older women and older gentleman who I usually do business with are not there. Somehow in 20 minutes they've come to the conclusion that my entire engine needs to be rebuilt, head gasket changed, and a grocery list of other problems on a car that's been treated better than most peoples children. Newbys price to fix my car $5,875. When I googled what they said they were fixing the average cost was between $1,200-$1,600. I had it towed to a friends fathers house who's a retired mechanic of 30 plus years. My car will be fixed in a few days for about a tenth of the price. I used to tell everyone to use Newbys. I've sent a good amount of business there. If the owners happen to read this, I would watch your employees closely when your not around. I hope this saves someone a lot of grief. It really sucks I can't rely on Newbys anymore.
