| - You definitely DO NOT want to come here on a date. The restaurant is loud, dark and well I didn't feel any air conditioning on this thirty degree downtown Toronto day. Not going to lie, I came here for the cheap food - every dish is $6. But with that being said, some dishes have a larger portion size so keep that in mind.
I came with a couple of my friends and I shared the sundried tomato pesto penne and the honey garlic chicken wings! The pasta was good but very standard, what I was really disappointed with was I added an extra $2.25 for the chicken topping [thinking they would be chicken strips] but I got this EXTREMELY dry chicken crumble. I would not recommend adding anything to the side, after all this changes the "cheap food" perspective. As well, the sundried tomatoes had a quite chewy aspect to them and I wasn't too fond of its taste. Moving on, the chicken wings were also very standard in terms of flavour but it was also hard and difficult to chew. My friend got the poutine and although it came in a very large portion size, the fries were soft and it was just not that big of a stunner to me.
Overall, this restaurant is very standard but I mean what can you expect from cheap food? The service was good, food took a while to get here and also the waitress took away my napkin before I could use it. :( However, the takeaway from the night was, all the high tables have a really nice foot rest so your legs aren't dangling while you eat!!
