We are living in an Ashton Woods home in Gilbert, AZ as well. We live on the corner of Elliott & Higley. We purchased the home from the original owner who built it and only lived in it for a total of 1 1/2 years. Since moving in, we have been experiencing really back cracking in the dry wall. While I do understand that it is normal for some cracks to appear due to settling, the crack in our master bathroom/closet is our biggest concern as it is very deep. I can put my pinky finger in the crack. We had a supervisor come out and she said that it is considered "normal" cracking and she did not consider it to be structural. I do not know what her credentials are but I do not think she was a structural engineer. This was our first new house and I have to say we are very disappointed and will not be buying another ashton wood home.
