Last week I had a friend visiting Vegas for his 30th birthday and of course the Sugar Factory was on his Bucket List. I have to be honest and tell you that I had never herd of the place before he mentioned it. Being that I'm from Las Vegas I really didn't spend any time at all exploring the down town area before I discovered Yelp so this coveted "Sugar Factory" never even popped up on my radar. Well let me tell you - I was in for a shock.
In true Vegas style everything about the Sugar Factory stands out and wow's your inner child to the core. You can't help but spin around trying to take it all in. The colors, sounds, people, over sized drinks smoking as its being poured over dry ice, and the candy leave feeling 9 all over again. I'm telling you everything about this place has a "HELL YES" factor of 100. The service was quick and we didn't wait long to be sat and order taken. I think our Goblet took 10ish minutes before it was delivered to the table. We decided to share one Goblet between 5 of us. It was more that we wanted to check the place out than we wanted to drink 3000 calories in sugar each. We were there about 30 minutes total. No one in our party tried the food - but I'm going back with @jordynns in a few days and we're getting a burger, I'll keep you updated,
The main reason I left a 4 star review instead of 5 is because the items on the menu were just a little pricey for my liking. Milkshakes and Burgers both start at $18.00 + and drinks with alcohol are almost double that which is just a little high for me. Not to mention that they our Goblet was so sugary that most of it was not even finished. It was like paying $40+ just to say I did it....I get that its the strip but thats a bit much for a family who will almost always have more than one child. Your talking well over $100 for a family of 4. Something to consider big time. Also, The wait in line can be long but you can save yourself some time by making a reservation using the OpenTable app you can download.
