@WOOFSTOCK #YELPTO #WOOFSTOCK #DOGEVENT
Woofstock was bigger and better this year; and boy, did my pooch enjoy! So many dogs, contests, vendors! Wow! Kudos to the organizing team - they have made it a long way since rejection on Dragon's Den. Also, it was a hot hot hot weekend, so I really appreciated the big bowls of water every few steps.
Woodbine is a fantastic venue. It's huge; perfect to tire us out. And the fountain/pond area was great. Caesar leapt in for a swim with other doggie buddies. Perfect on a hot day!
Caesar, my parents, boyfriend and I were at Woodstock on the first day - Saturday May 28. We reached early around 12pm. However, parking was a complete mess. Next time I am heading over earlier - around 9-10am.
Caesar embarrassed himself at the disc demo. Not every dogs are meant for disc fetching, I guess. The PC Super Dogs and Lure Courses looked amazing; but I doubt my dog to trained enough for either. Maybe another time!
We checked out a couple of fun shows at the main stage - Canine's Got Talent and Mr. and Ms. Canine Canada Pagent. Such fun! We also checked out Dock Dogs a couple of times. It was quite impressive. We also had a great food truck meal in the shade.
My regret - I didn't go around and check out all of the vendors. It was so hot and we wanted to check out the activities for most of the time we were there. I did manage to get in line and get Caesar Milkbone freebies. I wish I got him more things. There were dog chews and treats at amazing prices.
Totally hoping to take Caesar back to Woofstock next year and doing a better job checking out the vendors. It's currently an annual thing, but I would totally go multiple times a year.
