| - Terrifying experience with driver #5509 in Whittlesea Blue Taxi. We were literally afraid for our lives, as well as insulted and offended. This driver is dangerous, rude and should not be on the road. Can't wait until you're allowed to take Uber from the airport and I can stop riding in cabs altogether.
We arrived at the Vegas airport around 6:30pm on Thursday, October 1st. Four of us were directed to a minivan cab, I asked for "Monte Carlo, no tunnel". Literally made this same request on 6 other Vegas trips and never had a problem. This guy, though, completely flipped out and yelled at us for the next ten minutes. "Don't tell me how to do my job, a taxi is a privilege, etc." and he started swerving the car, threatening to leave us on the side of the road.
At first, we argued back because we are not used to being spoken to like that, but eventually we were so terrified of this guy that we just ignored him. He continued to yell and scream about people accusing him of long hauling (which I never did) and how no one ever tips him (wonder why?). He also had hand-written signs in the back of the cab saying "do unto others as you have them do unto you" and "a taxi is a privilege, no one force you to ride". That should have been my first clue that this guy is nuts. Literally. He needs to lose his license.
Next time I visit Vegas, I will avoid this taxi company at all costs. And if there's any way to sneak and take an Uber from the airport, I'll be doing that. No wonder they're putting the taxi companies out of business. Good riddance.
