I like The Beet very much, not because the food is amazingly stellar, but because the coffee, the side patio and the concept are fantastic. The organic, local cafe has an interesting menu that will please vegans, vegetarians and carnivores (like me). I have enjoyed the huevos rancheros twice, they are fresh, but small, and on the pricey side indeed. I recommend the Beet, with hesitation, only because the price and the portion size are not always in sync.
