We made a stop at Sycamore Brewing on our impromptu tour of breweries in Charlotte on a Saturday afternoon. This was definitely the place to be in Charlotte! It definitely was crowded, inside was unbearably crowded. We snagged one of the only available tables outside. I ordered the AKA Manah Stout with a whopping 10% ABV and OMG was it so, so tasty. It was so super smooth that you forgot how much alcohol was in it. I actually went back for seconds.
The downsides - the outside area is completely in the sun, no shaded areas. It was 95 degrees with heat indeces much higher than that when we were here and we couldn't survive much longer than a beer or two. I would love to see some shaded areas outdoors for patrons. As other Yelpers mentioned, there are a LOT of people who bring dogs but that seems to be the norm in Charlotte. As long as the dogs don't cause a ruckus, it isn't an issue for me.
I loved the vibe of this brewery but I have to admit, it was definitely a younger crowd so I was feeling pretty old!
