  • I held the hand of my friend when she went in for her back surgery in October of 2008. Her healthcare provider had recommended Terry McLean. Of course, I decided to do research! Who knew he was one of the valley's most eminent surgeons? He was personable, friendly and talked her through everything...and he also addressed concerns I had for her as well. He even pointed out where her previous doctor had gone wrong in his initial diagnosis! Post surgery care has been wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor for her. She was even up and walking in under 8 hours, which she is supposed to be doing. It was painful for her to get out of bed, but once she got on her feet she was good to go - which is always good news. When she had her first surgery done back in Oregon, it took her 2 days to get walking or feel anything in her legs. As a former healthcare worker (hello, UCSF!), I called my old contacts and they reassured me that he was the best you can find in the valley. Dr McLean's office is located in Scottsdale and is easy to find...I'd recommend him.
