Maybe it was my fault for reading all the great reviews and expecting too much. I think the major problem was the (we're assuming) brand new waiter. He was horrible. He messed up our order on 4 different occasions on different people and courses as we all went prix fixe. How hard is it on a slow night? Also, he would stand right in front of you and put his face into yours when he was talking. Hello personal space!!! The food was ok, SeaBlue has a tasting menu special for $60 or so right now so I was kinda irritated that I could've received much better food for relatively the same price. Also since this was for a birthday we weren't expecting much but the server comes out, nearly drops the dessert plate on the table, mumbles happy birthday and walks away. I don't know if it was because he had made so many mistakes on our orders by then his mgr had a talk with him & he was taking it out on us, but it was unacceptable. Since we were a table of 6 it was mandatory gratuity which was fine but then I had to tip out the bus girl or sous server another $40 because she was more help than our designated server and she deserved it. It was an expensive meal for mediocre food and bad service. The creme brulee did rock tho.
