We stopped in here for a drink to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary (Cotton Anniversary year, get it?) and had an AWESOME experience. Our bartender, Brandon, really takes pride in his work and enjoyed the challenge of making drinks he thought we would like - which he nailed. I started with a unique & tasty Mule (I forget the official name but there was Moonshine involved) and my husband headed the suggestion for the best Old Fashioned he's ever had. We each had 2 more off-menu drinks + a round of Washington-apple-like shots and all of them were totally delicious and unique in some way, including a champagne floater on a Jack-based drink and girly drinks for me that weren't overly sweet like they can often be.
Keep in mind that if you treat this place like overflow for the Belfast downstairs (as it used to be) or stop in during a soccer match/after a baseball game, the vibe will be quite different. We were there with about 10 other people in and out and it allowed us a very personal experience with unique hand-crafted beverages. If you're five bros deeps at the bar at 1 am, that might be a better time to order a beer.
I will def be back, maybe on a Tuesday for half price wine. Cozy couch corners await if the barstools are full!
