| - Definitely tops my list as the best buffet on the strip. Many other buffets are either cheaper or offer more choices, but the price you pay for the taste and quality of food at The Buffet at Bellagio, you can't get any better than that.
Two things to prepare you- be prepared to pay a bit more than other buffets, and be prepared to wait in line. It generally averages around 25 bucks per person to eat (price differs between brunch, lunch, dinner, and holiday buffets), and the line is generally around 30 minutes. There are TONS of tables inside the buffet, so the line will move fast, but there are LOTS of folks here to EAT!
The layout of the buffet is great, all organized by type of food, all very easy to get to, and all very accessible. The salad bar offers up tons of fresh salads and dressings, as well as lots of great fresh fruit. Seafood bar has crab legs, shrimp, and select sushi rolls, along with some oysters.
There's always an Italian area, with about 8 different types of pizzas, and tons of pasta choices. A Chinese area offers up lots of your favorite noodles with chicken and other asian delights. There's a meat area, which generally has sliders, turkey, and always some delicious fresh carved meats, including prime rib, roasted chickens, leg of lamb, tons of choices, ALL delicious. Usually some good sides like garlic mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, mac 'n cheese, and tons more.
And the desert bar... Oh, the desert bar... Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, Tarts, Key Lime Pie, and an Ice Cream Machine. I think I gained 10 pounds my last sitting.
The service is always very good, they are always coming around, making sure your drinks are full, taking away your empty plates, and offering coffee when you're done. For the price you pay, you definitely get your money's worth, as the food is delicious, and I love that you can get whatever you want, as much as you want. Can't beat it. I stop in here to eat EVERY time I visit Vegas, and I recommend everyone else do the same. You have to eat here at least once.
